May is National Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month.
May was the month – back in 2001 – when The Candie’s Foundation launched the National Dialogue to prevent teen pregnancy.

At that time, when the campaign was running, in partnership with Thunderclap; a social media platform that coordinated tweets and Facebook posts – The Foundation got out the message that 2,000 teenage girls will get pregnant today.

Other messages included: I stand with @CandiesOrg and #NoTeenPreg sent out by leading social media influencers Chris Brown, Carly Rae Jepsen, Lucy Hale, Bella Thorne, Jenny McCarthy, and more.
